With whom does Swagbucks share personal information?

As a general rule, Swagbucks will disclose personal information to help provide you with points-earning opportunities, to verify a transaction or your identity, or when we believe that the law requires it. Please see our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy for more detailed information about how your personal information may be shared.

As part of our rewards program, we share data with trusted vendors, service providers, and other third parties in order to provide you with points-earning opportunities or to support our program with services such as analytics, communication and to prevent terms of use violations.

Some examples of third-party sharing scenarios include:

  • For survey offers: we may share your profile information with Cint, Lucid, Precision Sample, Toluna, Dynata, Lightspeed to provide you with unique survey opportunities;
  • For offer targeting: we may share your information with companies like LiveRail and LiveRamp to verify or supplement information. We may also share information with Offer Toro, Revenue Universe and other third-party offer providers that you may find on our Discover channel.
  • For vendors, we share your information to support our services and technologies. For example, we use Google Analytics.  We also use ExactTarget and SendGrid for email communication.

In many cases, data is shared with third parties by you.  For example, when you take a survey or participate in an offer on our Discover channel, you are usually directed to a third-party mobile or browser destination.  Any information you provide there is done voluntarily by you. We do not collect this information (although some of this information may be shared back with us if it relates to our rewards services).

In rare circumstances, we may also disclose your account information when we have reason to believe that disclosing this information is necessary to identify, contact or bring legal action against someone who may be violating Swagbucks’ policies or may be causing injury to or interference with (either intentionally or unintentionally) Swagbucks rights or property, other Swagbucks users, our third-party partners or vendors or anyone else that could be harmed by such activities. Swagbucks may disclose or access account information when we believe in good faith that the law requires it and for administrative and other purposes that we deem necessary to maintain, service, and improve our products and services.
