Answer
A SwagUp is a bonus on the account. An SB Award SwagUp adds SB when a set activity is completed. A Rebate SwagUp returns SB on a gift card redemption when that gift card costs more SB than the rebate.
When this applies
This fits when the question is what a SwagUp does, or which rebate is used. How a SwagUp is earned is in How do I get a SwagUp?
SB Award SwagUp
An SB Award SwagUp adds SB when the activity tied to it is completed. The activity has to be the one named on that SwagUp.
- Some double the SB for a completed survey. Some add a flat amount for a completed survey.
- Some double the SB for shopping online. Some add a flat amount for shopping online.
A Shop SwagUp credits when the SB for that purchase posts. The terms name the date to shop by. The Swag Up Ledger names the date the purchase SB has to post by. If the purchase SB is not posted by that ledger date, the Shop SwagUp does not credit. A MyGiftCardsPlus purchase does not count as a shop.
Rebate SwagUp
A Rebate SwagUp returns SB when a gift card is redeemed. The gift card’s SB cost has to be greater than the rebate. A 500 SB rebate does not apply to a gift card that costs 300 SB, such as a $3 Amazon gift card.
More than one Rebate SwagUp is used in expiration order. The one that expires first is used first. If that rebate is greater than the gift card’s SB cost, the next rebate that fits is used.
Example, in expiration order: a 400 SB rebate, then a 25 SB rebate, then a 100 SB rebate. A $3 Amazon gift card for 300 SB skips the 400 SB rebate and uses the 25 SB rebate. A $5 Walmart gift card for 500 SB uses the 400 SB rebate, because 400 is less than 500.
If that didn't work
Every SwagUp has an expiration date. Two SwagUps of the same type are applied first-to-expire. A rebate that is greater than the gift card’s SB cost is skipped. A Shop SwagUp does not credit when the purchase SB posts after the date on the Swag Up Ledger.
