Answer
A birthday that puts the account under 13 restricts the account. Swagbucks does not allow anyone under 13 to use the site. A member who is 13 or older, and whose birthday was entered by mistake, can ask to have access restored.
When this applies
This fits when a date of birth was entered wrong and the account is restricted for being under 13.
A full name, a shipping address, or a Swag Name follows How do I change my account information? Those fields are not changed with this request.
What to do
- Confirm the member is 13 or older. An account for someone who is actually under 13 stays restricted. That rule follows the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).
- Send a request from account help with these three items:
- A digitally signed declaration that the member is 13 or older.
- The account information and the correct date of birth.
- A photo of a government-issued ID for the member. If the member is a child, a parent or guardian sends a photo of the parent or guardian's government-issued ID instead.
If that didn't work
A request without the declaration, the correct date of birth, or the photo cannot be reviewed. Someone who is under 13 cannot have this restriction lifted.
When to contact us
The account help request is how the declaration is sent. A member who is under 13 does not need a ticket.
