Answer
The SwagButton adds a search box to the browser. Suggestions appear while the search is typed. A search through the SwagButton can earn SB. It can also alert for a Swag Code and redeem one.
When this applies
This fits when the SwagButton is being installed, is missing, or is used to search, to catch a Swag Code, or to see an older alert. Swag Code rules are in How do Swag Codes work?
What to do
- Install the SwagButton from swagbucks.com/extension.
- Choose the SwagButton, then search from the box. Suggestions appear as the words are typed. That search can earn SB.
- A new Swag Code can send an alert. The code can be redeemed from the SwagButton. On a day with a SwagButton-only code, the regular daily code is still available on the desktop site, in the SwagButton, and in the mobile app.
- Older alerts are behind the bell at the bottom of the SwagButton. Those alerts include Swag Codes, surveys, and the account balance.
The SwagButton should not change how other browser add-ons work. A work computer that blocks the install can still be used without it. SwagButton-only Swag Codes are released outside work hours.
If the button is missing
Open the browser’s extensions page and confirm the Swagbucks extension is turned on. If it is still missing, reinstall it from swagbucks.com/extension.
Uninstall
The SwagButton can be removed at any time.
- Chrome: open the menu, then Extensions. Remove the Swagbucks extension and restart Chrome.
- Firefox: open Tools, then Extensions. If Tools is hidden, open the application menu and choose Add-ons and themes. Remove the Swagbucks extension and restart Firefox.
- Mac toolbar: open Finder, then Applications, then Toolbars, then Swagbucks.com. Double-click Uninstall and enter the computer login.
When to contact us
A missing button is fixed from the extensions page or a reinstall. Use the Help page when the extension is on, a search was made through the SwagButton, and the SB never appears in the Activity ledger.
