When someone signs up using a referral link, their name should appear on the referral list. If a new member completed registration but still isn’t listed, that’s frustrating — and it usually comes down to how the signup started or finished.
Check the referral list first
- Log in to Swagbucks.
- Open the referral list.
- Confirm the account was created recently and that the correct Swagbucks login was used.
Common reasons a referral doesn’t appear
- Signup wasn’t finished in one session — the referral left Swagbucks during registration before the account was fully created.
- The referral link wasn’t used correctly — for example, opening Swagbucks from a bookmark, search result, or app store instead of the personal referral link shared from Refer & Earn.
- The browser changed mid-signup — starting on one device or browser and completing registration in another can break referral tracking.
- The person already had an account — only new registrations count. Accounts created before the invite can’t be tied to a referral list later.
Important: If referral tracking didn’t attach at signup, the referral can’t be added to the list manually afterward. Referral credit depends on automated tracking at the time of registration.
How to share a referral link the right way
For the next invite, use the official referral tools so tracking can attach from the start:
- On the Swagbucks homepage, open Refer & Earn.
- Send an email invite, post to social media, or copy the personal referral link shown on that page.
- Ask the new member to register in the same browser session, without navigating away to another site first.
