Answer
Tracking ties a click on an offer to Swagbucks. When that click tracks, a qualifying purchase or install can add SB automatically. If the click is not in the Activity ledger, there is no record of the offer, and SB is not added for it.
When this applies
This fits when an offer is started from Swagbucks and the question is whether the activity tracked. A game offer follows How does tracking work for a game offer? A finance offer follows How does tracking work for finance offers?
What to do
- Read the offer terms and follow them. That includes a minimum purchase, a time limit, and a one-time rule.
- Start from the offer link on Swagbucks. Turn off ad blockers and popup blockers. Turn off other shopping extensions, such as Honey or Rakuten, while the offer is completed. Those extensions can take the credit for the click.
- Use the same device from the click through the purchase or the install. Do not open a competing offer before the activity is finished. Do not complete a requirement before the click.
- Turn off a VPN or a proxy. A strict privacy setting can block tracking. On an iPhone, allow app tracking when the offer requires an install. Private Relay can block it.
- Open Visited and confirm the click. After each rewarded step, especially on a multi-step offer, check Pending. A step that tracked shows there.
If that didn't work
A click that is not on Visited means there is no record of the offer. SB is not added for it.
A later event that is not on Pending means the partner did not track that step. Stop. Do not continue the offer. Use Help on that ledger row before any further activity. Continuing without that request means SB is not added for the later activity.
Tracking can also fail because of a privacy setting, a VPN, a tracking permission that was denied, a switch to another device, or a missed offer term. Swagbucks does not see the merchant’s attribution decision. When the merchant did not credit the click, SB is generally not added for activity that did not track.
An offer that did track still follows the time on that offer. I completed an offer and have not received credit, what can I do? covers that wait, an offer wall, and a request that asks for proof.
When to contact us
Use Help on the ledger row when a step after the click is missing, and do that before any more activity on the offer. A click that never appeared on Visited cannot be added by a ticket. When the click and the completion are already in the ledger, a ticket before the time stated on the offer is too early.
