Answer
Shop & Earn pays SB for a qualifying purchase made through a partner store on Swagbucks. The SB amount, and what counts, come from that store.
When this applies
This fits when the question is how a shop purchase earns SB, whether a gift card or a return still qualifies, or whether an order shipped outside the United States can earn SB.
What to do
- Open Shop and choose the store there. The purchase has to start on Swagbucks.
- Read the Special Terms before ordering. Those are the store’s rules and exclusions. Open them from the store’s detail page, or from Shop Now. Not every store has Special Terms.
- Check how that store pays. Most stores pay SB on the net purchase amount. Some pay a flat amount. Some pay both. Some pay SB only for certain categories.
The net purchase amount leaves out taxes, shipping, handling, fees, gift wrapping, coupons or credits that are not from Swagbucks.com, and returns or cancellations.
Pending usually shows within 30 minutes to 5 business days of the purchase date. Some purchases take up to 32 days. If the Special Terms state a different time, use that time. How soon after I shop are SB rewarded to my account? is the full wait. Once the SB is pending, it counts toward that day’s Daily Goal. It does not count again on the day it posts.
Gift cards, returns, and shipping
A purchase paid with a gift card is generally not eligible for SB. A store’s Special Terms can make an exception.
Returning, exchanging, or canceling part or all of an order reverses the SB for that part of the purchase.
Shipping outside the United States is up to the store. If the store ships to that area, the purchase can earn SB. The store’s shipping policy is the place to check before ordering.
If that didn't work
An order that is not listed yet is still inside the wait. Why isn't my order showing in my account? explains what to check. SB that was reversed after a return or a cancellation is the expected result.
When to contact us
Use Get Help on the Visited row for that order only after 32 days, unless the Special Terms state a longer time. A message before that time is too early. Posted SB is on the Activity ledger.
