Answer
Canceling the account permanently cancels any SB that has not been redeemed. That SB cannot be restored. The account can stay open, with notifications turned off, when the goal is to stop messages without losing the SB.
When this applies
This fits when the account should be closed, or when the question is what happens to unredeemed SB. A sign-in that says the account is suspended is a different page. Why is my account suspended? explains that.
What to do
- To keep the SB, leave the account open. Open Notifications and opt out of Swagbucks correspondence.
- To cancel, sign in and open My Settings. Enter the password when prompted.
- Scroll to the bottom and choose Deactivate or Delete Account.
Use of the account stops as soon as it is cancelled. A message that was already scheduled can still arrive after that.
If that didn't work
The cancelled SB is not put back. A request to re-open the account can be sent, and the account may reopen with 0 SB.
When to contact us
Use account help to ask for the account to be re-opened. A reply about a deactivated account is within 3 business days. That request does not restore the cancelled SB.
