Answer
A reward that pauses for a PIN is a one-time account check. A unique PIN arrives by text or by postcard. After that PIN is entered, the account is verified and rewards can be ordered again.
When this applies
This fits when a reward redemption asks for account verification.
A message that the account is suspended is a different situation. Why is my account suspended? explains that message.
What to do
- Read the prompt on the reward. Verification can be completed by mobile or by mail.
- Choose the option that fits. A unique PIN is texted to the mobile phone, or mailed to the home on a postcard.
- Enter that PIN in the account when prompted.
- Order the reward again. Verification is completed once.
What happens to the reward
The reward needs to be verified within 7 days. If the PIN is not entered in that time, the order is refunded and the SB returns to the account.
A reward can also be refunded, or put on hold, because the account was selected for this verification. After the PIN is entered, SB can be redeemed again, and a hold on rewards is removed.
If that didn't work
Enter the PIN from the text or the postcard. A reward stays on hold until that PIN is accepted. If 7 days pass with no PIN entered, the order is refunded and the SB is back in the account, ready to redeem again after verification.
