The first PayPal reward is the one that asks for the most checking. The name, the email, and a confirmed bank have to line up before the deposit can go through. After that, the next reward is a simpler connection.
When this applies
This fits the first time SB is redeemed to PayPal, or when a PayPal reward does not arrive.
What to do
- Match the name. The first and last name on Swagbucks and on PayPal have to be the same, including spelling. Check the PayPal name at paypal.com/myaccount/settings. If the names differ, edit one of them so both accounts show the same name.
- Add the Swagbucks email to PayPal. That email has to be listed on the PayPal account. Check it at paypal.com/myaccount/settings/email/add. PayPal can hold more than one email, so the Swagbucks email can be added without removing the others. Changing the email on Swagbucks is covered in How do I change my email address?
- Confirm a bank on PayPal. The PayPal account needs a linked bank, and the status needs to say Confirmed. Check it at paypal.com/myaccount/money. If no bank is confirmed, choose Link your bank account in PayPal and finish PayPal’s steps. That check can take a few days.
The PayPal name is on the PayPal settings page. It has to match the name on Swagbucks.
The Swagbucks email has to appear in the PayPal email list.
A confirmed bank shows the status Confirmed.
Connect PayPal
- Choose PayPal as the reward. Choose Connect with PayPal.
- Sign in on the PayPal page with the PayPal email and password for the account that should receive the funds. That login can be a different email than the one on Swagbucks. It is not the Swagbucks password. If the PayPal sign-in is forgotten, choose Having trouble logging in on that PayPal screen.
- Return to Swagbucks and finish the redemption.
The deposit usually arrives within a couple of days. An email from Swagbucks and an email from PayPal confirm it.
If that didn't work
Check the three items again: the names match, the Swagbucks email is on that PayPal account, and the bank status says Confirmed. A deposit before the bank is confirmed does not go through. PayPal’s bank check can take a few days, and the reward itself usually takes a couple of days after the redemption is finished.
When to contact us
Contact Swagbucks from the Help page after the names, the email, and the confirmed bank are in place, and the couple of days have passed with no deposit email from Swagbucks or PayPal.
